Ottawa Studio Portraits with Shawn Kerr

It’s always a huge honour to get to capture other photographers.

Shawn Kerr is a wedding photographer based in Ottawa. Before picking up the camera, we first connected over coffee to discuss his direction for his portraits and explore how we could make them feel warm, genuine, and true to who he is. We also connected over our northern Ontario roots!

The goal was to create images that help people connect with Shawn and his work, to live alongside his portfolio to create an impression of who he is and how his energy translates to his photography work.

We photographed at Amarah Studio in Hintonburg, Ottawa, capturing a few different outfits and looks. The collection includes a mix of headshots, candids, and lifestyle compositions, together giving a natural impression of Shawn’s approachable and creative demeanour.
