Uncommon Ottawa Awards 2026 Event Photography
In February, I photographed the 2026 One of One Awards hosted by Uncommon Ottawa—a vibrant celebration of creativity within Ottawa’s interior design community. Held at Parlour in Hintonburg, the event brought together designers, studios, and emerging professionals to recognize outstanding projects that push the boundaries of originality and thoughtful design.
As an Ottawa event photographer, my role was to document the full atmosphere of the evening—from the energy of the crowd and the award winners on stage, to the beautifully designed details and sponsor activations throughout the space.
My approach at events is to move seamlessly within the event, capturing real moments as they unfold without interrupting them. My goal is for photography to feel like part of the experience rather than something that pulls people out of it. A quick turnaround on images allowed the organizers and attendees to share highlights shortly after the event—extending the momentum of the night across social media, press, and digital channels.
