Ottawa Team Portraits with ReThinkery

I first connected with Tina Collins, owner of ReThinkery in Ottawa, after she’d seen some of my work from my International Womens’ Day portrait project earlier this year. Learning that those portraits resonated with her meant the world to me, mostly because when it comes to taking portraits, there’s a lot of trust we give to our photographer; trust that they understand our vision, trust that they capture us in a way that makes us feel well represented, seen and understood, and trust that they will deliver images we ourselves will be proud to use and share.

Immediately during our first meeting, I felt I understood Tina’s vision. As a coach, she needs images that help her audience connect with her energy and personality at their very first glance. Being in front of the camera can be intimidating, so knowing we wanted to capture Tina in her natural comfortable state, we padded our shoot with extra time so we could warm up, try a bunch of different poses and outfits, and review the images together in real-time to make sure she loved how she was being captured.

I’m very grateful for Tina’s trust, as well as her team’s, to capture these portraits for them!
